Rappahannock High
Rappahannock High School, located in historic
Warsaw, VA, features many opportunities for student achievement and
involvement. Rappahannock High is a fully accredited four-year
comprehensive high school which continually meets annual yearly progress
[AYP] benchmarks. Rappahannock’s 400-member student body benefits
from strong community support, and a scholastic program which
accommodates a wide range of curricular and co-curricular activities.
In conjunction with strong parental and community support, the staff
sets high academic standards for the student body, while encouraging
students to explore interests and grow socially. Rappahannock High
offers a diversified and challenging academic program for all students,
as well as a wide variety of college preparatory courses, including
Advanced Placement classes and many professional technical studies
programs. Our mission is to encourage, respect, and teach all students
so that they may develop to their fullest potential in a changing and
complex society. Students and their families have come to expect
Rappahannock High School graduates
to enter postgraduate education or the workforce with a solid core
foundation in the humanities, math, science, and foreign languages.
Richmond County Intermediate
Richmond County Intermediate School is a rural
public middle school located in the historic Northern Neck of Virginia.
Our campus-style school is comprised of approximately 300 students and
25 teachers, serving grades 6 through 8. A variety of academic
and extra-curricular activities are offered to meet the needs of every
student. Among our most significant accomplishments is RCI's perennial
high performance on state standardized testing [SOLs] and federal
benchmarks under No Child Left Behind [NCLB]. Since the inception of
NCLB in 2001, Richmond County Intermediate School has made Adequate
Yearly Progress [AYP] every year. The faculty and staff at RCI are
dedicated to the safety, well-being, and academic success of each
student in our care.
Richmond County Elementary
We are excited to be a part of what is
recognized as a great learning organization. Contributing factors
include highly qualified teachers and their commitment to our school
community. We continue to meet all accreditation standards. Our Reading
Counts program has increased the number of books read by our students.
Fun Day continues to be well supported by our community. Our strong
PTA provides great opportunities for our students to have educational

Northern Neck Technical Center
The Northern Neck Technical Center is a
secondary school offering technical courses to students in the five
school districts in the Northern Neck and one in the Middle Peninsula.
Students attend classes in block periods. The first block runs from 8:45
to 11:15 a.m. The second block is from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Classes are
offered with two-year completion certification with the exception of
Nursing Assistant and Electrical, which are one-year courses. Students
in theCosmetology and Nursing Assistant courses are required to take the
State board for licensure upon completion of the classes. Our Nursing
Assistant and Marine Technology students receive college and high school
credit upon completion of these dual enrollment courses. All completers
are required to take an industry certification test for a verified
credit.
