We believe that every student should have an opportunity to realize his/her optimum potential academically, socially, emotionally and physically. Every child can learn and we can teach every child. Every child is unique and can make a valuable contribution to society. Given knowledge and opportunity, students can shape their own futures.
The mission of Richmond County Public Schools is to collaborate with parents and the community to provide a healthy environment in which children can develop academically, socially, physically and emotionally in order to become lifelong learners, independent thinkers and responsible citizens.
Superintendent Search Survey February 10, 2012 The Richmond County School Board announced today that it will begin the process of hiring a new superintendent by seeking public input on qualifications for a new superintendent. The School Board will make available a survey related to superintendent criteria, which will be sent home with children in the Richmond County Public Schools, provided to staff and made available on the school division’s website. Extra copies of the survey will also be available at the School Board Office, 460 Main Street, Warsaw, Virginia. In addition to the survey, the Board will hold public hearings immediately prior to its regularly scheduled board meetings on March 7, 2012. The public hearing will begin at 6 p.m., and will be held in the Richmond County Public Meeting Room, 101 Court Street, Warsaw, Virginia. “Hiring a new superintendent is the biggest task facing a School Board and we want to make sure that the public has a voice in this process,” said School Board Chair Stephen Teese. “We hope that parents, staff and residents will take time to fill out the survey or attend the public hearing.” If you wish to submit your responses to the Superintendent Survey Online, Click the link below. http://www.surveymethods.com/EndUser.aspx?C8EC809AC0889592CF Stephen M.
