Online Registration & Enrollment


Online enrollment for the upcoming school year is now available! This process replaces the paper forms sent home at the beginning of each school year. This will help streamline the process.  You will use the PowerSchool Parent Portal to access the Registration. 

How do I get started?

-New Students

Visit the following URL, and fill out the information on each screen. https://registration.powerschool.com/family/gosnap.aspx?action=28650&culture=en&TriggerAutoLogOut=15.
Please be sure to let each page load before trying to enter data.  Each time you navigate to a new page, it may take a few seconds for the content to load.

 

-Returning Students

Visit https://richmond-county.powerschool.com/public and sign in if you know your account.  If you do not know your account, or this is your first time, you will need to click on the “Create Account” Tab and fill in the appropriate information. (Please note: the PowerSchool Access ID and Access Password fields are information you should receive from the school.)

Once logged in, click on the PowerSchool Parent Portal icon.

From the Parent Portal:

  1. Select the student you wish to register along the top
  2. Select the Student Registration Icon on the left side for “Returning Student Registration.
  3. Agree to the terms and conditions
  4. Click Begin Forms

 

Do I have to answer all the questions?
Required questions are marked as "Required".

 

What if I make a mistake?
If you would like to make a change, click on the underlined field or click “Previous” to return to a previous page.

 

I’ve completed the form, now what?
When you have finished entering your information, click “Submit.” This will send all of the information you’ve entered to the school. If you cannot click on this button, you will need to make sure that you have answered all required questions.

 

What if I have more than one student?
Do I need to do this for each child? Yes, because you will need to provide information that is specific for each child. We recommend that you submit one and then start another – this will allow you to “snap over” shared family information, which will save you time. 

 

I don’t know what a question is asking.
You can contact any school guidance counselor, or email someone at RCPSRegistrations@richmond-county.k12.va.us to ask any general questions about the form or the registration process.

 

Help! I’m having technical difficulties. 
For technical support — not including issues with passwords or usernames — visit our PowerSchool Community help center or click “Help” or “Contact Us” from any form page.

 

I can’t remember my login for the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
If you are not able to retrieve your login credentials using the “Having trouble signing in?” link on the Sign In page, please email RCPSRegistrations@richmond-county.k12.va.us for assistance logging in to the Parent Portal.
